I am originally from Colorado and obtained my undergraduate degree in biochemistry from Colorado College. An enthusiasm for science but a passion for people led me to medicine, and a desire to treat the cause of disease, not the symptoms led me to naturopathy. After completing my doctorate at the National College of Naturopathic Medicine (now the National University of Natural Medicine), I focused my training on endocrine imbalances in both men and women.
In addition to private practice, I served as a staff physician at Labrix Clinical Services for many years. In this role, I educated doctors around the globe on bioidentical hormone replacement therapies through individual case consultation as well as on the podium at a number of medical conferences including the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine and the Integrative Healthcare Symposium. In 2009 I co-authored a book on declining testosterone levels in men and have contributed articles to numerous publications over the years on a variety of subjects. Some of my favorites are linked to this page.
Outside of the clinic I am a novice gardener, a fervent dog lover, a devotee of dark chocolate, a bossy older sister, a sports fan and mother to two energetic little boys.
